INFORMATION
I am a researcher and curator in the field of photography, based in Leipzig, Germany. My professional experience includes exhibition, project and art collection management, archive work, writings with various requirements, editing, PR and art mediation.
Recently, I conducted a major study on photography in the GDR on behalf of the German Photographic Society (DGPh) and funded by the Kulturstiftung der Länder. Since August 2024, I have been working part-time in the archive of the Deutsche Fotothek in Dresden and planning new projects and publications on a freelance basis.
I am holding a Master’s degree in Photography Studies and Research from Folkwang Universität der Künste, Essen, and a Magister degree in Art History, Cultural Studies and Theatre Studies from Universität Leipzig. In the past I have worked for several different art collections and foundations, such as Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation in Frankfurt am Main, Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau, Palais Populaire Berlin, Museum Folkwang Essen and various photo festivals, among them Ray Fotografie Triennale Frankfurt/Rhein Main, Darmstädter Tage der Fotografie and Biennale für zeitgenössische Fotografie in Mannheim.
My latest publication is a peer reviewed article in the current issue of “Zeitschrift für Kunstgeschichte”
https://doi.org/10.1515/zkg-2024-4006
I am interested in the many chapters of the history of photography as well as contemporary art. You are welcome to contact me for specific research or curatorial projects. Please just get in touch to chat over new collaborations.
